Member Expectations

Little Explorers Society is exclusive in the sense that it is curated and intentional. We attract families who share the same expectations of themselves and their kids — that's what makes our community feel real.

What we expect from caregivers

  • Stay with your child at every adventure. This is the heart of the model, not a footnote.
  • Be present — phones in pockets during the experience, especially when helpers are speaking.
  • Be the example: kindness to hosts, attention to instructions, gratitude to the helpers we meet.
  • Participate — ask questions, take photos, learn the names of other families.
  • Communicate — RSVP honestly, show up on time, cancel early if plans change.

What we expect from kids

  • Curiosity over disruption. Questions are welcome; running off during a demo is not.
  • Respect for helpers, venues, and other families.
  • Willingness to try — even if the thing is new, dirty, outside, or quiet.
  • Kindness with peers — sharing, taking turns, including the new kid.

At-will on both sides

  • We frame these as expectations, not exclusions. Every kid has off days; every family has hard seasons.
  • Hosts reinforce expectations gently in the moment, and the founder will reach out if a pattern emerges.
  • Membership is at-will on both sides. Repeated violations of the no-drop-off rule may end a membership, with a prorated refund.
